It Happened In Calcutta is a romantic web series starring Karan Kundra and Naghma Rizwan in the key roles. In a quest for that perfect face, the makers have searched for 2.5 years by conducting more than 300 auditions across India. Later, Naghma Rizwan was finalised to play role of Kusum. Naghma Rizwan is a Mumbai based model.

It is one of the much-anticipated series of ALT Balaji and ZEE5. It Happened In Calcutta is totally a love story that revolves around a young girl named Kusum (Naghma Rizwan) who aims to become a doctor in the city. She admitted to Calcutta Medical college to make her dreams come true. There she meets the Ronobir (Karan Kundrra) and falls in love with him. It Happened In Calcutta web series is set against the backdrop of Kolkata of the 1960s and 70s. The teaser of the film was released recently and creates a stir among audiences.
