Happy International Yoga Day 2022: Yoga Day (International Day of Yoga) is celebrated annually on June 21 to raise awareness about the benefits of practicing Yoga. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which evolved before thousands of years to embrace the wide range of styles and disciplines, which aims to transform the human body and mind. Yoga is a science which is created to cultivate health and happiness, a greater sense of awareness and higher consciousness. On December 11, 2014, United National General Assembly declared June 21 as “International Yoga Day.” The declaration came after the call for the adoption of Yoga Day by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, during his address to UN General Assembly on September 27, 2014.

The logo for International Yoga Day was selected by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the logo is said to represent all the essential elements which constitute the essential consciousness. The logo for International Day of Yoga was created by an 18 member team of New Delhi-based Panchtatva Advertising. The logo was selected through the open contest to increase participation from all sections of the society. International Yoga Day Logo was launched officially by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik in New Delhi. International Yoga Day was celebrated by the people of 170 countries including India, China, Canada, USA, etc. Several activities like yoga training on campus and yoga competitions to enhance the awareness about yoga benefits among familiar public all over the world. Raise awareness about the importance of practicing Yoga. Regular practicing of Yoga will lead to better mental, physical and intellectual health. It will change the lifestyle of the people, and it will increase the level of well-being. The main aim behind the aim of celebrating Yoga Day was to raise awareness about the importance of practicing Yoga.
