Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is a franchise cricket team based in Mohali, Punjab. The Kings XI Punjab Team is one of the 8 IPL Teams which has been playing all the seasons of the Indian Premier League. The Kings XI Punjab team is jointly owned by Bollywood actress Preethi Zinta, Wadia Group and Dabur. The KXIP team plays its home match at the PCA Stadium which is located at Mohali. After 2010, the team have also started to play home matches at Dharamsala. Kings XI Punjab has made an entry into the playoffs only twice. Among the 10 IPL seasons the team have played, KXIP became the runner-up in its 7th season. It was in the same year when the Kings XI Punjab team topped the IPL score Table. Virender Sehwag was appointed as the team’s coach in the year 2017. He appointed Glenn Maxwell as the captain of the team. The team performed well last year. They lost their chance to enter the playoffs as they lost their last match against Raising Pune Super Giants. Kings XI Punjab finished 5th among the 8 IPL teams.
