Indian 2 is an upcoming vigilante film directed by S Shankar. It is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions, the film stars Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Bae Suzy, and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The story and dialogues were jointly written by Shankar, Jayamohan, Lakshmi Saravanakumar, and Kabilan Vairamuthu. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to score music and background for the film. S Ravi Varman handles the camera while the editing is done by A Sreekar Prasad.

Kamal Haasan’s intro video was released on 3 November 2023. The clip shows a glimpse of cast members like Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and the veteran actors Nedumudi Venu, Manobala, and Vivek. In the end, Ulaganayagan appears in front of the camera in the “Indian Thatha” getup with a Subhas Chandra Bose behind.

Release Date

This most awaited pan-India film, Indian 2, will screen in theaters on April 12, 2024.

Storyline

Senapathy is a former freedom fighter who fled the country after killing several corrupt government officials. After several years, he returned to India to help a young man who had been exposing corrupt politicians in the country through his YouTube videos. Will he go on a rampage again to clean the system of corruption or die in the process? is the main crux.

OTT

According to reports, Netflix will bag the digital streaming rights for the Indian 2 movie. It may take at least a month for the film to stream online from the theatrical release.
