Harsimrat Kaur Badal Early Life and Career

Harsimrat Kaur Badal was born on 25 July 1966 in Majitha, Punjab, India. Harsimrat Kaur Badal family is now residing in  Chandigarh, India. Her father name is Satyajit Singh Majithia and her mother name is Sukhmanjus Majithia, with that, she has a brother named Bikram Singh Majithia who is an Akali MLA from Majitha and an ex-minister in the Punjab state government. She did her schooling in Loreto Convent School, New Delhi and she did her graduation in Delhi University. Harsimrat Kaur Badal husband name is Sukhbir Singh Badal who is a deputy chief minister of Punjab and he is the president of Shiromani Akali Dal they both got married on 21 November 1991. This couple has 2 daughters and a son their details will be updated soon.

She started her political career in the year 2009 from the  Indian general election. Then she was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the Bhatinda constituency by just defeating the Indian National Congress candidate Raninder Singh by 120960 votes. On 3 December 2009, she gave her first speech in that she expressed her concern about the victims and survivors of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Moreover, she was also being a part of the project titled “Nanhi Chhan” which is developed for saving girl child and trees. In the year 2014, she was again elected as an MP from Bathinda by defeating  Indian National Congress-People’s Party of Punjab joint candidate, Manpreet Singh Badal. In the Modi government, she was appointed as a Union Minister for Food Processing.
