Gate Exam Pattern: Exam Pattern of GATE contains details like the type of questions asked, marking schemes, total marks, and the number of questions papers. Two types of questions are asked in the GATE, One is Multiple Choice Question(MCQs), and another one is the Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. As per the exam pattern of GATE, the exam would be computer-based of three hours of duration. GATE Exam has 65 questions. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is held for 23 papers. Candidates can sit for only one paper. In the online exam, the candidate should select the correct answer for each question on MCQs. And for the Numerical type of questions, the candidate has to enter the numerical answer by using the mouse on a virtual keyboard. The GATE Online Application processing system (GOAPS) website has been opened on August 31 for the candidates to enrol, fill and submit the applications. They have to submit the application before the last date.

GATE Cut-Off Marks
The Cut-off mark for GATE is set by the authority or board which conducts the exam, which is considered as the passing or clearing the level of the exam. Based on the Cutoff mark, the candidates are short-listed for the further stages of the selection process. The cut off for GATE 2018 is updated in this article. The cut off is different for different institutes, courses and also categories will be published in online mode. Since GATE 2018Â the cutoff is released, and the candidates can also check the previous year’s cut off trends for the reference. GATE scores can also be used for the PSU recruitment.
