GATE Exam
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an All-India Examination, which is administered and conducted in eight zones over the country by the GATE Committee, including of Faculty members from IISc, Banglore and other seven IIT’s on behalf of the Department of Education, National Coordinating Board, Ministry of Human Resources Development. The GATE rank can be used for admissions to the Post Graduate Programmes such as ME, MS, M.Tech, Direct PhD in institutes like IITs and IISc etc. with the financial assistance offered by the MHRD. PSUs also use the GATE scores for recruiting the candidates for various jobs with attractive pay. GATE Exam primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. It is conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technologies at Delhi, Roorkee, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Chennai and Bombay on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE.

GATE 2019 is considered as the standard exam, which is conducted not only for the Post Graduation admission but also to open the gates for lucrative opportunities in several public sector enterprises and even in research organisations.
