Tamil Nadu is one of the 29 states in India. The capital of Tamil Nadu is Chennai. Tamil Nadu lies in the southernmost part of India. The state is bordered by Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra and the union territory Pondicherry. The state is covered by the Eastern Ghats on the North, Nilgiris, Anamalai hills and Kerala on the west, the Bay of Bengal on the east, and the Indian Ocean in the south.

The capital of Tamil Nadu is Chennai (Formerly called as Madras). Chennai is one of the biggest economic, cultural and educational centres of India.
