Diya Tamil Movie 2018: Diya is an upcoming bilingual horror thriller drama film written and directed by A. L. Vijay. The film starres Sai Pallavi, Naga Shourya, and RJ Balaji in the lead roles while Veronika Arora, Gandhari Nithin, Rekha, Nizhalgal Ravi, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Santhana Bharathi, and Stunt Silva are seen in supporting roles in this movie. The movie produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under Lyca Productions banner. Sam C.S. was roped as music director and cinematography handled by Nirav Shah. Telugu version titled as Kanam. A. L. Vijay denied that the film was a horror film and stated that the story revolves around young mother and her four-year-old child, with Sai Pallavi portraying the mother.

The film is structured as a revenge thriller and the story is predictable. There isn’t much shock beyond the first few minutes until the end. But the tone and the mood set by the director AL Vijay and his team is very effective.
