Dharun Ayyasamy Details

Dharun Ayyasamy was born on 31 December 1996 in Avinashi, Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, India. His family details will be updated soon. He did his schooling in Century foundation, Tirupur and he did his graduation in Alva’s College of Arts, Moodabidri, Karnataka. At the time when he was in his fourth grade, his father died of tuberculosis. His mother is a school teacher and his sister Sathya is a Volleyball player who plays for Tamil Nadu. He started his career in sports as Kho Kho player and he later switched to athletics in tenth grade. In the 2016 South Asian Games which held at Guwahati, he won the Gold medal in 400 meters hurdles with the time of 50.54 seconds. In 2016 July, he was being a part of a relay team that smashed the national 4 × 400 metres relay record at Bangalore and they get qualified for Olympics. Then in August 2018, he won the silver medal in 400 Meters hurdles at the Asian Games in Jakarta with the timing of 48.96 seconds who has set the new record.
