Deepak Sharma, A Man who holds Limca Records for collecting astronauts autographs

This is the modern era of the selfie and the youth of today is only think about pictures as a hobby when they meet the celebrities. Unlike them, in the year 2000, Deepak Sharma found collecting autograph is the best thing to connect with celebrities.

Since 2000 he has been collecting the autographs of famous personalities from various fields like Space, Movies, Politics, Literature, Adventure, Sports and Nobel-Recipient. Today he has over 5000 autographs in his collection.

Deepak Sharma says, ” His excitement knew no bounds when he read the whole story of Man Landing on Moon for the first time on 20 July 1969. It was two astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin under the NASA Program “Apollo”. This historical event inspired me to collect the autographed pictures of astronauts.”

The Amazing facts about Astronauts

From 37 countries a total of 556 people have been sent into space. Of the 556, only three people completed a sub-orbital flight, 553 people reached Earth orbit, 24 people have travelled beyond low Earth orbit, and 12 walked on the Moon.

Till today Deepak Sharma has more than 687 original autographed pictures of 225 astronauts from 31 countries in his collection and is increasing it day by day.

Gordon, Fred Haise, Edward Gibson, Valery Bykovsky, Anna Lee Fisher, Charles Bolden, John Casper, Chiaki Mukai, Kathryn Dwyer Sullivan, Anousheh Ansari and many more.

How did he get so many Autographs?

Deepak Sharma says that he collects and increase his autograph collection through various methods like In-person, Postal, Exchange and Purchase. But the experience of getting an autograph directly from the celebrity is always a real moment of joy and excitement.

There is always a great thrill in the experience behind every autograph collection starting from finding the address to receiving the autograph.
