Co-Win (2021): How to Register, SignIn for Vaccination | Covaxin & Covishield

As India is facing the second wave of COVID-19, the government allows vaccination for everyone above 18 years through booking on the Co-Win website. It is a platform to register for COVID-19 vaccination and schedule their slots at the nearest vaccination centers.

On 07 June 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that from June 21, all citizens above the age of 18 years will get free vaccines (Covaxin or Covishield).

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has reported 1,00,636 new Covid-19 cases and 2,427 deaths as of June 21, 2021.

From May 1, every Indian citizen above 18 years of age is eligible for Covid-19 vaccinations. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to register or sign in on Co-WIN Portal.

Register for COVID-19 vaccination and schedule their vaccination slots at the nearest vaccination centers.

How to Register on Co-WIN Portal?

Step 1: Visit Co-WIN portal or click the link www.cowin.gov.in.

Step 2: On the home page, click on “Register/Sign In Yourself” to register for the Covid-19 vaccination.

Step 3: Enter your mobile number and click on Get OTP.

Step 4: You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) via SMS.

Step 5: Enter the OTP and tap Verify button.

NOTE: Once the OTP is validated, Registration of Vaccination page will open up.

Step 6: Enter the required details like Photo ID proof, Photo ID Number, Name Gender, Year of Birth

Step 7: After providing your details, click the Register button.

NOTE: As per the official website, “Up to 4 people can be registered for vaccination using the same mobile number.”

You can also download CoWin App on Google play store and register for vaccination.

How to fix an appointment for COVID-19 Vaccination?

Once you registered for vaccination, you will be shown the account details. On the new page, you will see a tab “scheduled appointment”. Click on it and schedule your appointment for COVID-19 Vaccination.

After vaccination, you will get a Reference ID through which you can get your vaccination certificate.

What are the documents needed to register for the COVID-19 Vaccination

You can register for the Co-WIN portal using any of the following ID proofs,

  • Aadhaar card
  • Driving License
  • PAN card
  • Passport
  • Pension Passbook
  • NPR Smart Card
  • Voter ID Card (EPIC)

Registration link for Co-WIN portal: https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/. You can also register for vaccination through the Aarogya Setu App.
