Netflix is planned to release a web series based on the most famous classic film Chinatown. The prequel series of Chinatown is currently in the early stages of production. Netflix’s ‘Chinatown’ Prequel Series was penned by David Fincher and Robert Towne.

Chinatown film starring Faye Dunaway & Jack Nicholson was released in 1974. In 1990, a sequel of this film had released with the title The Two Jakes in which Towne & Nicholson had bagged the lead role.

The film shows the exploits of young Jake during his stint as a private investigator in the early days. It was the biggest blockbuster of the box office at that time. The classic film also earned an Oscar award for best original screenplay.

Regarding prequel series, Netflix has not yet revealed any official casting announcements. Jack Nicholson is the most astonishing screen actors of all time, with the role of Jake Gittes among his terrible performances.
