Chezhiyan is an Indian film director and cinematographer, who predominantly appears in Tamil film industry. He made his debut movie Kalloori as cinematographer which is directed by Balaji Shakthivel and it is produced by S. Shankar in the year 2007. Chezhiyan Details

Chezhiyan was born in Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu, India. His family details will be updated soon. He did his schooling in SBK Boys Higher Secondary School, AruppuKottai and he did his graduation in Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi. As he is more interested in photography, drawing and painting he entered into the film industry as a cinematographer. Once after he completed his engineering he started his career as an apprentice with P. C. Sreeram before he shows himself as cinematographer. He also worked as an assistant director for the movie Thambi in the year 2006. The cinematographer of the movie was left in 60 days later director Seeman asked him to double up as cinematographer for his movie.

Chezhiyan appeared as a full-fledged cinematographer in the movie Kalloori in the year 2007, and the movie has received a critical acclaim among the people. Then he worked in the S. Shankar’s production movie Rettaisuzhi, with that, he appeared in the movie Magizhchi which is directed by V. Gowthaman and he worked in various movies as well. Later his movie Thenmerku Paruvakaatru grabbed the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil which is directed by Seenu Ramasamy. He also received the Katha award for his short story Harmonium in the year 2004. Moreover, he is the author of the series of books on cinema titled Ulaga Cinema in Tamil and it was released on Tamil weekly Ananda Vikatan between 2005 and 2007. He worked as a cinematographer for many documentaries that includes A Little Dreama biographical docu-fiction of the former India President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, and the documentary of the Tamil writer Jayakanthan.
