Chetan Bhagat Details
Chetan Bhagat was born on 22 April 1974. His father was an Army officer and Bhagat’s mother was an agricultural department Government employee. Chetan Bhagat did his schoolings at Army Public School in Delhi. He did his under graduation in the fields of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and then moved to IIM Ahmedabad to pursue his MBA. Chetan Bhagat worked for Goldman Sachs’s Hong Kong officer where he wrote Five Points Someone. After getting fired, he moved to Mumbai to continue as a writer.
Chetan Bhagat’s published his first book “Five Point Someone” in the year 2004 and then “One night at the call center” in the year 2005. Later in the year 2008, he released his book “Three mistakes of my life” which were made as the movie “Three Idiots” in Bollywood and “Nanban” in Tamil. His next release is “Two States” in the year 2009, followed by Revolution 2020 in the year 2011, What Young India Wants in the year 2012, Half Girlfriend in the year 2014, Making India Awesome in 2015 and One Indian Girl in 2016. All his novels are best selling novels.
Apart from writing novels, he is also a motivational speaker and a Television Personality. He made his debut as a screenwriter through the movie “Kick“. Chetan Bhagat is married to Anusha Suryanarayanan who was his classmate at IIM. They are blessed with a son named Ishaan Bhagat.
