Chennai Doctor Arrested for Nude Filming Women Patients

A 64-year-old doctor at Mylapore was arrested by city police for secretly filming videos of women patients. The doctor identified, M. Sivagurunathan who is running a clinic on Nattu Subbarayan street in Mylapore. The alleged obnoxious action of the doctor had come to light when a patient Ammu (29) of Ulundai of Tiruvallur visited the doctor on a complaint of chest pain.

Chennai Doctor Arrested for Sexually Filming Women Patients

After listening to the complaint of Victim, Dr. Sivagurunathan asked Ammu’s Husband to wait outside, stating that he needed to check her. Franklin, who went out of the room, noticed by chance the doctor setting his mobile camera to film his wife. Suddenly, Franklin rushed into the doctor’s room and questioned him. The doctor, who initially denied doing anything wrong, soon started deleting videos from his mobile phone.

However, Franklin managed to take another mobile phone from Sivagurunathan, in which he found videos of women patients. Later, he and other residents of the area handed over the doctor to the Mylapore police.

The Mylapore police have registered a case against Sivagurunathan under 3 sections of IPC including sexual abuse. The police also sent the tainted doctor to Puzhal prison in judicial custody.
