Catherine Thangam is the wife of Indian singer Benny Dayal. Catherine is an actress, dancer, and model based in New York. She was born and brought up in Kuwait. She has worked for several print ads and commercials for brands like Western Union, BASF, Swarovski, Polyvore, and Andriod/Google. She also made a cameo in the online short film titled 100: The Tribute in the year 2014. The film paid homage to 100 years of Hindi Cinema. She also played a major role in another short film titled as Raj. This film was made by NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and created awareness on the complexities of extra-marital affairs within a traditional Indian family. Apart from acting, she was also seen as a dancer in 2012’s Gauri Shinde film English Vinglish, which starred Sri Devi. Benny Dayal met Catharine Thangam through a common friend and was in a long distance relationship for few years.
