Boycott Rohini Cinemas Is Trending on Twitter; Theatre Employee Blocked Tribal Family

Netizens slam Chennai’s Rohini theatre for blocking tribal families even after they have tickets to watch the movie. The incident happened today during the Silambarsan starrer Pathu Thala release. It is one of the most popular theatres in the city, where all the new releases are celebrated by fans, especially on the opening day. Many celebrities would visit this theatre to see the responses of the audience.

Later, they were allowed inside the theatre after it got noticed by management. People from the Kuravar community say they were denied permission to watch Vijay and Ajith films before despite purchasing tickets.

Clarifying the issue, the management released the statement that “The movie is censored U/A by the authorities. Children below the age of 12 can not be permitted to watch any movie that is certified U/A as per the law,”
