Beena Philip

Beena Philip is an Indian politician. She is fondly known as Beena teacher. Beena is the current mayor of Kozhikode district, where the LDF (United Democratic Front) party continued ruling for its 46th year. Dr. Beena started her career as a principal at Nadakkavu Government Girls Vocational Higher Secondary School and Azchavattom Government Higher Secondary School.

After her retirement, Beena participated in the Pottammal ward election and won to take charge as the mayor of Kerala’s Kozhikode city. She plays a key part to initiate the Spectrum Project in Nadakkavu School that would change the public’s opinion about government schools.
