Basabdatta Chatterjee is a Bengali television and film actress, who predominantly works in Bengali television industry. She made her debut television soap Ganer Opaarey as Damini and the show was directed by Rituparno Ghosh which is telecasted on Star Jalsha form 2010 – 11. Then he made her debut movie Asha Jaoar Majhe along with Ritwick Chakraborty and the movie is directed by Aditya Vikram Sengupta in the year 2014. Basabdatta Chatterjee Details

Basabdatta Chatterjee was born on 6 May 1989 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Basabdatta Chatterjee father name is Sumantra Chatterjee who is a film reviewer and her mother name will be updated soon. She did her schooling in Lee Memorial Girls High School, Kolkata, West Bengal and she did her graduation in Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Basabdatta Chatterjee husband name is Anirban Biswas who is a journalist they both got married on 6th March 2018. As her father is a movie reviewer, she wanted to become a reporter, and she does not have any idea to enter into the glamour world.

Then by appearing in the TV soap Ganer Opaarey which is directed by Rituparno Ghosh, she came into the limelight by her performance. Moreover, she appeared as a model for several jewellery and clothing brands and she is equally popular in both West Bengal and Bangladesh. Later in the following years, she appeared in various television serials like Boyei Gelo, Mon Niye Kachakachi and more. Then she also featured in some of the television reality shows like Dadagiri Unlimited on Zee Bangla and Ebar Jalsha Rannaghore on Star Jalsha. Then in the year 2014, she featured in a movie titled Asha Jaoar Majhe in this movie she appeared in a lead role along with Ritwick Chakraborty. Then this movie has won the  62nd National Award in 2015 in the category of Best First Film of a Director and Best Audiography. This movie was screened at the 11th Venice Days Film Festival and also in May 2015 New York Indian Film Festival. Moreover, this movie was awarded in three categories like Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Film.
