Banita Sandhu is an Indian Film Actress and Model from London. She began her career as a model and had appeared in commercial ads like Doublemint, Vodafone, and more photo shoots. She is acting since the age of 12. But, her role went largely unnoticed and no one ever took her that much seriously. She made her bigscreen debut in the hindi film October. She then entered tamil film industry and plays female lead in the film Adithya Varma directed by Gireesaya. The film stars Dhruv Vikram in the lead role. Aduthya Varma is the official remake of telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy.

Early Life and Career

Banita Sandhu was born and brought in London, United Kingdom. She is a Punjabi NRI based in Wales, the United Kingdom. Banita was raised in a middle-class existence in Caerleon. She is pursuing her degree in English literature from King’s College, London. She started her career as a model and acted in some notable commercials like Vodafone advert which went viral in India, with one million hits. Independent film director Shoojit Sircar spotted and made her to perform in a four-minute Wrigley’s advert, which received 40 million views.

Juhi Chaturvedi spotted her first at a Doublemint commercial ad. At that time, Juhi was writing the script of the film “October”. Later, she decided that Banita will be perfect for the story. The film will be directed by Piku fame Soojith Sircar. The male protagonist of the film is Varun Dhawan.
