B. Chandrakala IAS is an Indian Administrative Service member and currently serving as District Magistrate of Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh state in 2018. She is an IAS officer of the UPSC 2008 batch of UP cadre. She is one of the hard-working and honest officers. As a tribeswoman, she has got the IAS post, because of her hard work and perseverance. Moreover, she was the second female District Magistrate of Mathura. As an IAS officer, she stands as an example and inspiration for the officers and youngsters.

B. Chandrakala IAS was born on 27 September 1979 in Fertiliser city, Ramagundam, Karimnagar, Telangana. Her family is now residing in Ramagundam, Karimnagar, Telangana. Her father name is Kishan, a retired senior-technician at Fertiliser Corporation of India and her mother name is Lakshmi, an entrepreneur. She has two brothers named B. Raghuveer, a Technical officer in DLRL organization and B. Mahaveer, a banker at State Bank of India. She completed her schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya and finished her graduation in Koti Women’s College, Hyderabad & Osmania University, Hyderabad. B. Chandrakala IAS husband name is A Rumulu, a Deputy Executive Engineer who works in Mr Ramsagar Project. The couple has a daughter named Kirti Meena.

B. Chandrakala became an IAS officer in the year 2008, and was appointed as a District Magistrate of Mathura. She worked as an SDM and CDO in Allahabad from the year 2009 to 2012. She implemented all the government schemes like social welfare, tree plantation, animal husbandry, environment and panchayat related welfare schemes. She has been transferred to various places even though, her hard work and ability established her success in new dimensions at every place. In the year 2012, she was appointed as a DM of Hamirpur and transferred to Mathura as DM on June 8, 2014. After 129 days, she took charge as a collector of Bulandshahr. During an inspection of road construction work, she scolded the authorities for their negligences in the public place. The video became viral on the social media and made her popular among the people.

After this incident, B. Chandrakala also worked as District Magistrate (DM) for the public welfare. Moreover, she never tolerates any obstacles in the development work. B. Chandrakala has instructed her officers to settle all the grievances immediately. Under Swachh Bharat Mission, she has constructed nearly 20 thousand toilets in 242 villages. All these toilets were constructed within 150 hours. Considering her good work, she was transferred under the Swatch Bharat Mission to the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Delhi on the post of Deputy Secretary.
