Dinesh Ravi (Attakathi Dinesh) is an Indian film actor, who has appeared in leading roles in Tamil cinema. In 2006, he made his big screen debut in the film “E”. He made his breakthrough playing the lead role in Attakathi (2012) portraying the role of Dinakaran, for which he received Vijay Award & SIIMA Awards for Best Actor. Attakathi Dinesh Profile and Career

Attakathi Dinesh was born on 27 September 1984 in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. Dinesh completed his schooling in Dhanalakshmi Higher Secondary School in Washermenpet, Chennai. After graduating from college, he moved to cine field. Soon, he got an opportunity to act in Vijay TV’s  “Kadhalika Neramilai” serial. He also acted as a son to actress Seetha in sun TV series Penn. Later, he made his big screen debut in the character roles with the film ‘E’.

After playing a minor role in the films like Aadukalam and Mouna Guru, Dinesh made his breakthrough playing the lead role in Attakathi (2012) portraying the role of Dinakaran, for which he received Vijay Award & SIIMA Awards for Best Actor. His role in Visaranai was much appreciated by critics and public. The film premiered in the Orrizonti section of the 72nd Venice Film Festival, where it won the Amnesty International Italia Award. He also played a supporting character in the film Kabali alongside Rajinikanth. His future projects include Vaaraayo Vennilaave, Ulkuthu.
