Arvind Swami is an Indian movie actor, model, television presenter and entrepreneur, who predominantly works in Tamil film industry. He made his debut movie Thalapathi along with Rajinikanth and Mammootty which is directed by Mani Ratnam in the year 1991. He recently appears for the movies Vanangamudi, Naragasooran as Dhruva, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Mamankam, and Panyaibogan. Arvind Swami Details

Arvind Swami was born on 18 June 1970, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Arvind Swami family is now residing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father name is V. D. Swami who is an industrialist and his mother name is C.V.S. Vasantha who is a Bharatanatyam dancer. He did his schooling in Sishya School and Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located in Egmore, Chennai. He did his graduation in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) at Loyola College, Chennai and he did his masters in Masters in International Business from Wake Forest University in North Carolina. During his college days, he used to be a model for his pocket money and he used to appear  Loyola Theatre Society. Later Mani Ratnam saw him in an advertisement and called for a meeting and then he and Santhosh Sivan introduced for basics of filmmaking. Arvind Swami wife name is Gayathri Ramamurthy and they both got married in 1994. This couple has two children a daughter named Adhira Swamy, who born in 1996 and a son Rudra Swamy, who born in 2000. They both lived separately for seven years and got divorced. Then he married to Aparna Mukerjee who is a lawyer.

Arvind Swami started his acting career in the year 1991 from the movie Thalapathi which is directed by Mani Ratnam, in this movie he featured in the role as young district collector. At the time of Thalapathi Mani Rathinam signed for the movie Roja to appear in a lead role in the year 1992 and the movie Bombay he featured with Manisha Koirala which has won the awards at the State and National Film Award functions. Moreover, for his films, he received several awards, critical and popular for his films. In the year 1997, he featured in the movie Minsaara Kanavu which is directed by Rajiv Menon and this movie has received four National Film Awards. After the movie Alaipayuthey, he started to concentrate on his business. Then he became a director of V D Swamy and Company and engaged in international trade and construction. He was also the president of InterPro Global and the chairman and managing director of Prolease India which is engaged on transaction processing. Apart from all these things he is the only actor who opposed fans association. After a long gap of 11 years, again Mani Rathinam called him for the movie Kadal and for this movie he dropped nearly 15 Kgs in this movie he featured with Gautham Karthik and Tulsi Nair. Then in the following years, he appeared in the movies like Abhimanyu in Thani Oruvan, Dhruva with Ram Charan Telugu movie. He also appeared in a television show Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi season three. In the year 2017, he featured in the movie Bogan along with Jayam Ravi.
