Apply PAN Card Online: PAN Card can be applied through online, which saves your time a lot. You can apply for a PAN Card online through the internet; further, requests for the changes or the correction in PAN data or request for reprint of PAN card for an existing PAN can also be made through the Internet. The Online Application of PAN Card can be made either through the portal of NSDL (https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan/index.html) or the portal of UTITSL (https://www.utiitsl.com/UTIITSL_SITE/pan/index.html). The charges for applying PAN is Rs. 93/- Excluding the Goods and Services Tax. For Indian Communication Address and Rs. 864 for foreign communication address. Payment of the application can be made through the net banking, credit/debit card, and demand draft. Once the application and payment are accepted, the applicant is required to send the supporting documents through the courier/post to NSDL/UTITSL. Only after the receipt of the documents, the PAN application would be processed by the NSDL/UTITSL.
Here we have provided the step by step guide to applying for a PAN Card through the NSDL Website.
Step 1: Visit the NSDL website https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html
Step 2: There you can see the application form for PAN Card, which contains fields to be filled up.
Step 3: On the first field you can see the Application Type, just Click on ‘Application Type’ and select then select the form applicable to you – – form 49A for residential individuals and form 49AA for non-resident individuals (NRIs) and other foreign nationals.
Step 4: Then you can select the Category as ‘Individual.’
Step 5: Then you can fill the rest of the information by filling up the fields such as name, date of birth, Email ID and the Information marked with an asterisk sign has to be filled in mandatorily. Otherwise, you couldn’t submit the form to the website.
Step 6: After filling all the details, just enter the Captcha Text visible in the form.
Step 7: After finishing all these things, just click on the Submit button, then a token number will be generated. You have to click on the link to continue with your PAN Application. You can keep a screenshot of the page displaying the token for your record, and this will be useful when you wouldn’t receive the token number.
Step 8: After submitting, the New page will appear on your screen, which will ask for three options such as Submit digitally through e-KYC, and e-sign (Paperless), Submit scanned images through e-Sign and Forward application documents physically. You can click any of the option, in which you want to proceed with your application.
Step 9: Then enter your details such as Aadhaar number, parents name, etc. You can also have the option to get either your father’s or mother’s name printed on the PAN card.
Step 10: Once you have filled all the data in the form, then click on the ‘Next,’ then you will be directed to a new page, where you can fill your additional personal details like the source of income, address, contact details.
Step 11: After filling all the details click on the ‘Next.’
Step 12: Now you can enter your area code, AO(Assessing Officer) type, Range code and AO number. You can find all the details in this window itself.
Step 13: Once completed filling these details, just click ‘Next.’
Step 14: Then you have to choose and upload the supporting documents along with your photograph and a signature.
Step 15: According to NSDL helpline, once the documents are uploaded you have to make the payment of Rs.115.90 excluding additional bank charges if any you can pay using your Debit or Credit cards. (If you have chosen to send the hard copy of your documents instead of opting for e-KYC or e-Sign, then you have to pay Rs. 110).
Step 16: once you have made payment, you will be required to undergo the Aadhaar authentication process. Then the OTP will be sent to the given mobile number/email linked to your Aadhaar.
Step 17: If your Aadhaar authentication process is successful, then just take a print out of the receipt with the 15digit unique acknowledgment number, sign it and send it to the NDSL office at Income Tax PAN Services Unit, NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited. 5th Floor, Mantri Sterling, Plot No. 341, Survey No. 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk, Pune – 411016.
Step 18: In case your Aadhaar authentication process is not successful, or your mobile number is not linked to the Aadhaar, then just take a print out of acknowledgment receipt, and paste your photograph and sign the receipt. Then append the photocopy of documents uploaded by you and send it.
Step 19: In case your Aadhaar authentication process is not successful, or your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, according to NSDL helpline, then take a print out of acknowledgment receipt, paste your photograph and sign the receipt. You will also have to send a photocopy of the documents uploaded by you.
UTITSL stands for UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited, which was established in 1993. Formerly known as UTITSL, UTI Technology Services Limited, It is one of the biggest financial service providers in India. It is owned by the GOI and provides various technological and outsourcing services to different government and also financial departments of India. You can apply PAN Card using the UTITSL.
Follow the steps given below to apply for the PAN Card using UTITSL.
Step 1: Visit the UTIITSL Website https://www.utiitsl.com/UTIITSL_SITE/pan/
Step 2: Click on the application type based on your residency
Step 3: After selecting the form type to fill the application form with all the required details such as name, address, father’s name, etc.,
Step 4: Once you can fill up all the needed information, just click on the ‘Validation’ button then click the submit button, in this window you can check out whether all the filled information is correct.
Step 5: The next step is to make payment for processing your PAN application. Two payment gateway options namely Billdesk and PayU are provided by the UTIITSL. Internet Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card payment options can be selected to make a payment.
Step 6: Once the payment is successful, payment confirmation receipt will be sent to your registered Email id.
Step 7: In case if the payment fails, the relevant message will be displayed on the screen, you can either cancel a transaction or try after some time.
Step 8: After the successful payment you can print out the application form and affix two passport size photographs with all the required documents based on your proofs should be attached.
Step 9: After attaching send the form to the nearest UTIITSL Office. You can also track the status of your PAN with the coupon number provided by the UTIITSL.
