Anushka Shetty is an Indian actress who primarily works in Telugu and Tamil film industries. She made her acting debut with the Telugu movie Super, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Then she made her Tamil debut with the movie Rendu, directed by Sundar C. Anushka has received several awards for her acting including CineMAA Awards, a Nandi Award, Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, and more. She plays the lead role in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty movie.

Before entering the film industry she was a yoga instructor and she was trained under Bharat Thakur.
Anushka Shetty started her acting career in the year 2005 with the Telugu movie Super, directed by Puri Jagannadh. In that movie, she acted with Akkineni Nagarjuna and Ayesha Takia.
In 2010, she acted as a prostitute in the movie titled Vedam with Allu Arjun. For her performance in the movie, she grabbed Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
She expressed her grief for Krishnam Raju’s death on her social media pages.
She is the biggest fan of Tamil Star Vijay Serial Thendral Vanthu Ennai Thodum.
In 2009, she did the lead role in the blockbuster movie Arundhati. For this movie, she grabbed several awards including Nandi Special Jury Award and Filmfare Best Actress Award.
In the same year, she starred in the remake movie Billa with Ajith Kumar and she also acted in the second Tamil feature film Vettaikkaran with actor Vijay.
