Anthakudi Ilayaraja is a Singer and Lyricist who is famous for singing folk Songs in the South. He has been made his song performances at various places, mainly in temple festivals and village festivals. In 2016, he has sung in Tamil film Ilami under Srikanth Deva Musical. Anthakudi Ilayaraja was born to Chinathambi and Veeramal in Karaikudi, Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu. Earlier he did his schooling at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and later on at Government Higher Secondary School in Karaikudi. He is graduated in B.A (Economics) from Alagappa College of Arts and Science, Karaikudi. He is interested in Folk songs / “Naatu Pura Padalgal” and started singing in festivals nearby which gained him popularity. His programs are held in Chennai, Mumbai, Pondicherry, Andaman, Kuwait, and Muscat. He was honored with Doctorate in folk music. Music director Srikanth Deva spotted him and gave an opportunity to sing a song in the Tamil film Thodraa along with Super singer fame Priyanka. Anthakudi Ilayaraja video songs are pretty famous among the villagers and are available on Youtube.
