Akalya Venkatesan is an Indian VJ turned actress. In 2012, she debuted as a VJ in the show called Inbox Live Show on Imayam TV. She rose to fame when she got an opportunity to work in Aadhithya TV for the shows Neenga Sollunga Dude and Mamoi Neenga Enga Irukeenga. She also acted in the TV serial Office (2013) directed by Ram Vinayak. Akalaya Venkatesan debuted in the film Nenjamellam Kadhal directed by Nirman. Later in 2019, director Muthaiah gave her an opportunity to work in his Tamil film Devarattam.
