She made her acting debut in the Tamil Film Alli Thandha Vaanam along with Prabhu Deva, directed by Sridhar Prasad. Kalyani was born on 23 November 1990 in Trichur, Kerala, India. She made her on-screen debut in the Tamil Film Alli Thandha Vaanam. She has acted along with leading actors like Mammootty, Jayasurya and Shaam. She has appeared in some well-known films such as Kattuchembakam, Parunthu and Mullavalliyum Thenmavum. Her performances in many films were lauded especially in Tamil film “Ramanna” which was one of the Best films of the year 2003. She was noted for roles in films like “Jayam” along with Jayam Ravi. Later, she entered television industry and made her first major role in the serial Andal Azhagar. She married a Bangalore based doctor Rohit based on 12 December 2013.
