The 31-year old batsman put on a record opening partnership stand of 223 with his fellow partner D’Arcy Short who was unable to replicate Aaron Finch’s form and was eventually dismissed for a scratchy 46 in the 20th over.
By hitting 172, he went on to break his previous high-scoring record of 156 which he had set against England back in 2013. Unfortunately, he got dismissed with two deliveries left in the innings.
