On Friday, the army told five militants were killed in north Kashmir’s Uri sector while trying to infiltrate into India. It was the current infiltration attempt to the fidgety valley and at least 12 militants have been destroyed by Indian soldiers since Wednesday. Earlier, in Shahpur area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, a woman was injured after the Pakistan army man opened fire on Indian posts and forward villages alongside the Line of Control (LoC).
Army spokesperson told in Srinagar that,
“A penetration bid was foiled in the Uri sector in which five terrorists have been killed. Operation is still in progress,”.
Details were not suddenly available. The army told the total number of militants shot and trying to enter India this year.
Tweeted on Thursday that the army has been proposed with armed militants in four sectors Machhil, Gurez, Naugam, and Uri in the three frontier districts of north Kashmir since Wednesday morning. On Thursday while three militants were shooted in Naugam sector of Kupwara district, four more were destroyed in the district’s Machhil sector on Wednesday. A soldier was also found dead in Naugam.
The army told several armed intruders ran back departure behind their rucksacks in Gurez sector of Bandipora district. The militants were “being bestowed active support including covering fire by Pakistan army posts” on the LoC.
“In the present year, 22 infiltration attempts have been obstructed and 34 army intruders eliminated on LoC. Relentless operations by security forces have beaten desperate attempts by Pakistan and its agents to blowout terror in Jammu and Kashmir during the holy period of Ramzan,” the tweet announced.

According to the Army, it has effectively obstructed seven infiltration efforts in less than a fortnight in North Kashmir. Three of the efforts were scuttled in Uri sector alone.On May 26, Army shooted two Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) members who attempt to infiltrate into Uri sector in Baramulla district to carry out an harm on the soldiers. Six more militants died in the same sector next day when they efforts to sneak into the valley from across the border.
